Position Overview:
A Civil Upkeep Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of civil infrastructure, including roads, bridges, buildings, and other public works. This role ensures the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of these structures through regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs.

   - Conduct regular inspections of infrastructure to identify wear, damage, and potential safety hazards.
   - Assess the condition of roads, sidewalks, bridges, and public buildings.

   - Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as sealing cracks, patching potholes, and repairing minor structural damage.
   - Assist in major repair projects, including resurfacing roads and reinforcing structures.

   - Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs.
   - Report findings and recommend necessary actions to supervisors or relevant authorities.

   - Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
   - Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

   - Operate and maintain maintenance equipment and tools, such as jackhammers, concrete mixers, and power saws.
   - Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
   - Work collaboratively with other technicians, engineers, and contractors.
   - Provide support during emergency situations, such as natural disasters or infrastructure failures.

   - High school diploma or equivalent.
   - Vocational training or certification in civil engineering technology, construction, or a related field is preferred.
   - Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil maintenance, construction, or a related field.

   - Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
   - Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety standards.
   - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

   - Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
   - Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
